These adorable little boathouses can be found on the banks of Lake Wendouree in Ballarat, in the heart of Central Victoria. This beautiful lake is teeming with birdlife, and is a jewel in the crown of this wonderful city. Ballarat is rich in architectural treasures and historical significance, having played a prominent part in Victoria's gold rush era. It was a place that featured heavily in the works of renowned artists like Samuel Thomas Gill, who spent many years traveling this region, documenting life on the goldfields in the 1800s. This is a series of long exposure images taken in Spring 2018. I've also created a second version of this series - with softer, more muted colour tones, which can also be found in the FINE ART Galleries. More on my BLOG (Post #3).
